I've never understood the attraction to Cracker Barrel. My breakfast was okay, but nothing spectacular. Yet when you see most of their locations on a weekend morning people are waiting like it's the best food ever. My kids would love browsing the goods area of course, I might never make it out alive! Just keep pouring coffee and I'll survive I guess.

Was your typical cracker barrel. Staff was normal. Nothing so awesome about the place. Food served warm. Our waitress forgot to bring us refills a few times but if u r looking for something familiar then this is definitely the place to go.

Every time I eat here I am pleased with the delicious food. I only come for breakfast. I tried the blueberry pancakes this trip and they might be my favorite item now. They come loaded with blueberries and a jar of blueberry syrup. We never go alone there is always 5 or more of us, usually we are seated fairly quick. During our wait we enjoy browsing through the country store.

Cracker Barrel is generally very cheap and good enough quality and food. This location served nothing less than expected. The service is always friendly and he atmosphere makes you feel at home. Overall, if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive meal in a comfortable environment, then this is the place for you!

I dig Cracker Barrel and the name is strangely fitting too. Walking in it seems you're stepped through some sort of portal to the midwest. Suddenly you're surrounded by crackers wearing RealTree camo, and folks talking with a drawl. The food is the best kind of comfort - down home cookin'. I can't recall a time that I've had anything but breakfast. While the food isn't incredibly inventive say like Snooze in Denver, it is still delicious and portions are excellent. Definitely give them a shot if you're in need of a surefire breakfast or you're missing Missouri.

Not my favourite breakfast spot truthfully. There are so many better choices in Colorado Springs (Mountain Shadows, Mimi's Cafe, etc), but it's a good spot for my whole family to gather when coming from 3 different cities due to it's location. My last meal here was very simple (bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast) and while I won't knock the service (coffee was refilled repeatedly, juice served with the meal which is often forgotten) I really would rather have my entire meal at once. The hash browns I ordered to go with my bacon and eggs lagged behind the meal a good 5 minutes. By the time they arrived my eggs were cold. Timing a meal can be difficult, as any cook knows, but then please hold the order until it's all ready to place in front of me. I've had the pecan pancakes on previous visits and while they're not terrible it seems all the pancakes here are served more crunchy than fluffy...perhaps its the griddle used when preparing. Not a fan. The attached country store is a kick and I'm sure a decent moneymaker. Not anything you need per se, but a trip through time filled with old fashioned candies and country style 'knick-knacks', all somewhat spendy ($1.29 for Necco wafers is too much). I'm going to see about finding another centrally located breakfast place for the family as I would not miss this place if I never returned.

They really need to work on their eggs. I have family south of me and we often meet for breakfasts. Cracker Barrel used to be a guaranteed good pick but not after this Sunday. We get there before the big crowds at 9:15-11, and this week made it in by 8:30. We were seated immediately and had a very pleasant waitress, Cheyenne? I think she was quick on our coffee and food order and checked on us just the right amount before the food arrived. When our food arrived the gentleman asked if we needed anything else and we asked for some honey. The honey never arrived and by the next time we saw our waitress we were done eating. We left by 9:30. My main complaint though and what may keep us from going back for a long while was the horrific shape the eggs arrived. Scrambled should be the easiest eggs to make for a restaurant, much easier than over easy/medium and the like. Scrambled should not come out looking like an egg pancake, they should be fluffy or airy and not dried out. Sadly we got the dry egg pancakes.

Every time I come here I feel like I'm going home to North Carolina! They serve cheer wine! They also keep prices at a reasonable number so people are able to go eat as a family. It's a great stopping place whenever I'm in Colorado Springs. I love the motif as well as the service. There quick efficient and the food taste the same every time I go no matter what time of year or what time or day. I highly recommend this place!

Love this place! Actually, I love any Cracker Barrel but I've visited this one a few times from out of state. Food is great and I love shopping in the store. I've bought several things and had them shipped home without a problem. I prefer coming here for breakfast but any time of the day is good. Their blackberry cobbler is addictive. I wish we had one of these in California.

Had a pretty weird experience the first time I came here but would try it again. Chicken came out raw and by the time I got my cooked replacement, my friends were long since done eating and I just ended up getting it to-go. The cooked version of my meal was decent....so that's why I might give them another go sometime . Will edit my review if it does ever end up happening.

This was my first time at CB and I don't think I will be going back. Ordered the sunrise sampler and it was pretty disappointing, the eggs(scrambled) were the worst I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating, they were flavorless and served in patty form. The only reason they got two stars was because I liked the biscuits, gravy and hash brown casserole. The rest of my meal was a waste of money and I could have made a tastier breakfast at home... If you're looking for a good breakfast in this area just go to the egg and I or even ihop would be better than this place.

Biscuits and cornbread were dried out and cold. Haddock was poorly cooked and didn't taste good. Dinner was also cold. Seemed rushed like we were cattle.

Came here with my son and husband and it was not busy at 830am on a weekday. Everything was good as I was craving to eat here since I haven't been here in a while. I loved the pancakes and my husband and son loved their food. However my pork sausage patties were still pink in the middle, complained and said they said that's how it's supposed to be, um no pork is supposed to be cooked well done!

you pretty much know what you get with cracker barrel. I rarely visit for any meal other than breakfast. Was there on a tuesday am and it was pretty quiet. Was quickly seated and greeted. Our waitress was Jeannette and she was phenomenal. She was attentive throughout and ensured our drinks were never cold. count yourself lucky if you are seated in her section. Food as always was solid.

We don't have Cracker Barrels in Washington State, so when I find one, I try to arrange my schedule, to have lunch. We arrived around 1pm on a Saturday, & man were they busy. Our wait to be seated was only 15 minutes. We got a waitress right away & our food arrived in a decent amount of time. This one is well maintained and very clean, which can be tough at busy times. The value for the food offering is very good. Credit has to be given to any restaurant that can serve this many guest, with such quality of food & service. Well done management.

I hadn't been in a Cracker Barrel in 25 years, and was in the mood for a chicken fried steak. This CFS, potatoes, and okra was straight off of my junior high school cafeteria tray. The service was OK, but that's probably the best I can say, and this was my last visit to Cracker Barrel.

Seriously, don't bother with this location. I am a fan of Cracker Barrel country-wide. But this North Colorado Springs location has the trifecta: Bad service, Bad Food, and Bad customers. (Not in that fun, People-of-Walmart People-Watching way, either.) Drive to ANY other location in the US before you judge Cracker Barrel by this location.

  • Fanny C.

The food here was highly mediocre. I ordered a chicken fried steak because I wanted to indulge a bit...but I just regretted it because it didn't even really taste that good. The service wasn't too bad, the people where nice. The store that they have up front was fun, which is the only reason why I gave it 2 stars.

When I want a calorie laden, heavy meal, I come to Cracker Barrel. It seems that most people are a fan of their breakfast. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast, unless all the breakfast components are rolled into a flour tortilla and smothered in green chili. Since Cracker Barrel does not offer this particular item, I generally get lunch or dinner. Chicken n' dumplin's, yes!! Fried okra? YES! Buttermilk biscuits?? Double yes. Ok, I'll admit that I like one of their salad offerings which is a meal in itself. This place is popular with the church goers after services. It gets sooooo busy after 11am on Sunday. It's insane! But you can occupy your time while waiting for your table by playing checkers or rocking in the chairs outdoors or browsing all the crap in the "old country store". The store carries all these retro candies and other assorted stuff guaranteed to send you into a time warp, if you're old enough to remember. The service is generally alright. Sometimes we get an amazing server but most of the time the service is just alright.

I love going here...the food is excellent!! Breakfast, lunch and dinner, always delicious. While you wait to be seated they have a quaint little store..so many unusual gifts and clothes. Candy you ate as a kid.

Forgot how much I liked this place. It's been years! Went over Mother's Day weekend. Yummy comfort food, plain and simple. And added bonus is the store filled with fun gifts.

I really love Cracker Barrel, especially for breakfast. The coffee was great, my cup was never empty. The grapefruit juice is FRESH SQUEEZED & delicious. The egg sandwich is always overlooked but very very good. This review isn't really about the exceptional breakfast though, this is about my waitress Kayla. She MUST be new, cause she only has one star on her apron. Sweet girl, very on point & personable. She's a great waitress for sure.

I absolutely love Cracker Barrel and have only been to one other then this one and it did not disappoint! I ordered the meatloaf with country green beans and steak fries and it was absolutely delicious! The hubs had the buttermilk pancakes with eggs over easy and bacon he is vary critical about his breakfast food but he was speechless after these he said they were better then any pancakes he's ever had (including mine!) I ordered the kids Mac and cheese for my daughter and she liked it the only "bad" thing about this meal was the noodles being a little to firm for her liking but other then that amazing :) I have nothing bad to say about Cracker Barrel it's an amazing store with great trinkets and food! Definitely we will be coming back!

Though they have good country meals for lunch and dinner my family favors this place for their breakfast dishes. They have a great setup for those who have to wait for a table because they have their old country store attached with plenty of cheap toys for the kids as well. The only thing about the country store (and I say this in jest) is it feels like a death trap. Just look up and imaging an earthquake hitting. Grandpas Breakfast (chicken fried chicken with gravy) is my favorite but lately they seem to be a little stingy with the gravy. We love the atmosphere but it can get loud at times. The huge hearth and antiques that pepper the place are a nice touch.

The Cracker Barrel was always good. Until recently they have gone down hill a little with the quality of food and service! We went there today and they were out of mac and cheese! Really? Three people at our table were prepared to order that and the waitress acted like who cares! We got some to go when it was finally ready and she actually charged us for the two small sides??? I'm a little turned off now!

Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat at every once and a while. I wouldn't say my service was exceptional, but the food is always great! The fried apples are the bomb!!! I would definitely try them if I were you.

Service was good. Multigrain in granola pancakes were good. Others had items that were not too good. Grits were cold. Hash brown casserole was not very good. Overall food was fair. Not up to Cracker Barrel standards.

My husband and I came here a month ago, and the service was so poor, the food bland and awful, and I didn't get my food before my husband had finished his meal. when I complained I was told by the manager that no one ever complains because they had made drastic changes. I told her that I was complaining and she said," Well I'm not making excuses for the staff, but we are busy." I told her she was definitely making excuses. The upshot was that she backpedaled furiously when I said I was going to Yelp, and gave us a card for a free meal for two so she could prove it was a fluke and not normal for the restaurant. We came in today, and I am still not impressed. Chicken and dumplings was bland and doughy. my husband had to wait because his fries weren't on his plate. I didn't get Any jelly with my biscuit although I asked, the waitress I flagged down wasn't "Our" waitress, So she stopped, stared at Me, ignored me, and went on her way. I had to flag down a manager to get our missing items. I couldn't be more displeased. Even though the meal was free, I will never be back here, and I advise you to run to a better restaurant. If I could give a -1 star, I would. Simply awful.

Not sure why people are giving this place such bad reviews. The food was good and the server was great! Even my picky brother-in-law(who always complains about his food) loved the food. The only complaint I have is the sawmill gravy tasted a bit odd.

Good food, good service, left feeling like I'd eaten enough to explode. I had the Cracker Barrel Sampler, which comes with a small slice of ham, chicken n' dumplings, and meatloaf, plus three sides of my choice - I chose the fried okra, whole kernel corn, and cooked apples. Everything was cooked just right and tasted great. When asked about beverage orders I asked our waiter if they had hot cider... he said they had cider and he'd be glad to heat some up for me :) So that was nice. And it tasted amazing. My friend got the spicy catfish with corn, mac'n'cheese, and turnip greens. He was brought cooked apples instead of the turnip greens, but he decided he was more in the mood for them anyways so we didn't mention it. The great big fireplace was full and crackling and they added wood multiple times while we were there and it added a lot to the ambience. I'm also quite fond of the little peg board games on the table, they make for a pleasant wait between ordering and eating. I also really enjoy the decor, I'm very fond of old fashioned gadgets and gizmos and such. And there was a really pretty painting of snow and trees and whatnot hung by our table. I'm a fan of country food and would be happy to give it five stars if not for the mixup on the turnip greens. But we also didn't give them the chance to correct that, so maybe they deserve five stars anyways.

This restraraunt started on my list...it was good southern comfort breakfast foods but with more quality than an I hop.that is until my experience today.I was say in a corner on a not so jammed packed day where we waited for drinks fifteen minutes before asking a hostess.later I asked for a chicken fried chicken plate with hashcasserole...fifteen minutes late I receive a preece of chicken which could be considered jerky hash hard as a rockand a heavy boat that had skin on it...shit is what I got...no apology from anyone I refused to tip and refuse to go back professing fours worse than old microwaved churches chicken...do not come to this location... No manager on sight st this location ethier for any of you corporate

Decent restaurant... First impression was that it was busy, but the employees were on top of things. The glasses were clean, but there are hard water spots on the glasses (apparently they don't use JetDry or wipe their glasses out of the wash). I ordered the breakfast Chicken Fried Steak platter with scrambled eggs and the hash brown casserole... They were all really good! My one issue is that there was hardly any seasoning, so I needed to put lots of salt and pepper on my food... Overall it was fairly decent.

Do you ever miss comfort food? Yes this a chain and being such some locations do their signature dishes better than other locations. Having lived in the South for many years, this place can hit the spot most of the time. Breakfast all day is a magnet-- here they do it right from pancakes to eggs with some of the best breakfast meats compared to their competition. Try the turkey sausage -- very nice. Nothing here is out of the ordinary -- it is what it is-- main entrees resemble a home meal-- southern flair protein and pick three southern sides or just get the veggie plate. Having come to this location regularly, I have never had an unfriendly server or a terrible meal. I like grits ( pepper and butter only) and biscuits so this is where I go plus my son loves the pancakes here;)

    (3)
  • Kyle J.

Just what you'd expect from a chain restaurant. Great pancakes and eggs... the turkey sausage was just the patty type. Nothing fancy at all. More or less paying for the 'experience'. I still like CB and will go again, but its certainly not my favorite. On a side note, we went for Thanksgiving a few years back (traveling and needed some good food) and it was amazing! Great turkey dinner with amazing dessert. If you don't feel like cooking big for the holidays, I'd recommend it!

I drank the sweet tea and now I'm hyper!!! OOOOH! And the gift shop had GREEN JELLYBEENS!!! I'm too hyper to talk anymore. Here's what my owners had to say: "If'n yer bellybutton is gnawin' at yer backbone, best mosey on over t' the Cracker Barrel! Tons of down-home cookin', friendly service, and a collection of rocking chairs that would make yer granny tear up with joy. In all truth, this was great. The value for the money is fabulous. Food is delicious. yeah. It's good. Get the fried apples :)" - Dirkie "I have visited the CB for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend breakfast. Both meals, however, were very good. What surpasses the food is the service. Each of the servers have an apron which has embroidered stars. These stars represent the number of guest compliments the server has received. There are LOTS of stars ! For breakfast, I had the combination plate with a little bit of everything. The sweet tea is good, but not as good as down south." - Johnny

This is one of my favorite places to browse and buy; there is stuff for kids and adults, including 'gag' gift items to children's toys (including toys you wouldn't typically stumble upon at a major retailer), to Bronco's novelty gear and 'boutique' style women and children's apparel. Some of the items are overpriced, but I would highly recommend this place to find a gift or unique holiday decor.

Interesting that Cracker Barrel put out a cowardly statement about Phil Robertson we ate at the "restaurant" once. The food was disgusting. This is a reason never to give them another chance. No one should take another's freedom of speech! Would give a 3- star if possible.

I have always made a point to try to have breakfast here for years, but I am sorry to say the service has gone way down hill since my last visit. I usually order the "Old Timer" with two eggs made to order, two biscuits, Saw Mill Gravy, two sausage patties, and grits and I ordered my favorite fried apples. What I got was two cold eggs, no fried apples, but some other substandard substitution served by a waitress that had a frozen smile of pain like she was still recovering from the night before. Maybe it was an off morning, but I will think twice before returning or will try to find someone that will take my complaint seriously!

Great old-time place to bring the family for an excellent meal. On a recent trip to CO, we ate breakfast at this restaurant. There was a slight wait; we were seated in about 5 minutes from entering the store. Breakfast was great. I had eggs w/ grits, bacon and ham, chocolate milk. The wife had eggs w/ biscuits and sausage gravy. Excellent service and great food served hot. They have a funky little store attached to the restaurant that sells all kinds of homey knick-knacks. And of course the front porch is filled with a variety of rocking chairs for purchase.

What a joke Cracker Barrel has turned into. It seems like they are more worried about what is in their store than producing good food. My husband and I decided to split a meal because we are not big eaters and it saves us some money. So we ordered some meal that came with chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. It said on the menu it is a hardy meal to fill you up, so we figured between the two of us we could split it and be satisfied. Wow was I totally wrong. There wasn't enough there to fill one of us up. My husband wanted to order another entree but we didn't feel like waiting for it. Also everything was very dry, it had no flavor, the biscuits fell apart in your hands...good luck trying to butter them! I use to love Cracker Barrel, but after this experience I think I will just stick with The Mason Jar and Black Bear Diner!

We have been here many many times. It has always been a great meal and a great time. The food is always fresh and hot. The store inside is very cool and has some qwerky things. (The kids love it) You can't beat the Cracker Barrel for a great breakfast!!

Disclaimer: I'm not a Cracker Barrel fanatic. I couldn't care less about all their knickknack kitsch. We've been to a few CBs before, but just for the breakfast. And for that, they are usually adequate. But we didn't even get the chance to eat at this restaurant. We came here because it was right next door to a hotel we were staying at, and we decided to upgrade a bit from the complimentary, continental breakfast available at our hotel. Upon entering the establishment, we were struck by an odd combination of smells--like that of a candle store whose wood-burning fireplace's chimney had backed up. If you've been here before, you already know that you have to enter through the knickknack section. And from the smell of it, it is made up mostly of scented candles (at least that's what it smelled like). When they seated us we realized that they had a fire burning in the open-hearth fireplace. Now, I suppose if you're really into fireplaces you might think that is a really great idea. But if you don't want to smell--and smell like--wood smoke, then you probably won't be all that impressed. So if you'd rather smell bacon frying than wood burning, this might not be the place for you. We decided not to stay and instead walked across the adjacent parking lot to a Denny's. When we walked in the door, it smelled like bacon, pancakes and coffee--just what we were looking for!

The CB in the south are really great. This is just OK. I love the General store. Lunch is good. Breakfast has benn ok. The ervice most of the time is slowwwwwwwwwwww. 1 time all the tables around uf got their food and we were the firdst in the section. After 45 min we walked out. Havent been back. Another time my husband and his friend stopp right when they opened in the morning. They watched others that came in get their foos. Finally Les went back to the kitchen and said where is my damn food? So for us nope not a fit...

Cut rate food at a cut rate price. When I was younger and more foolish, the fam and I used to frequent this place, as it is right across the highway from the Air Force Academy and on the northern side of the springs. I remember there being joy in pulling into the lot and wandering through the store of hoosits and whatsits before sitting at the meal table, fiddling with the tiny peg game found on every tabletop in the place. Henry was my name. Biscuits and gravy was my thang. It was good. Maybe I didn't know any better. Fast forward half a decade or more. Things are different. And yet, the same nicnacs still enter my vision when I pull open those familiar wooden doors. Who would want a bumble bee-looking windchime...or a pastel shirt that says COLORADO in heavy-metal-band lettering..? Oh! The dining area looks the same, too! The ancient pictures and dim lighting with spots on rustic clothing still exist! The newspaper-style menus do, too! Hello, fourteen-year-old self. How ya been? Biscuits and gravy again? Nah dude. We're gonna do chicken and dumplings. Let's see if they can do half-cooked dough as well as mom can. Where's our waitress? The ice in my friend's cup looks lonely. There she is...with half our order. Aaaaand no pitcher of water. Hm. This is a bit different from what I remember...like this gravy. What happened..? It used to be so tasty. Where the pepper is at? Or my friend's water? Or the casserole or two of my party..? Oh, waitress! Hey, can yo--oh. She went that way. My chicken is hot and tasty. My mac n cheese and cinnamon apples are, too. So why are my other friend's green beans frozen in the center? I don't understand any of this. This was supposed to be fun. And what's with all the old fogeys up ins? They must not be able to taste what is served them anymore... The check's here. Just after the casseroles. Oh. Oh wow. That is cheap! I guess I am paying for what I got... And I'll take this huge bubble wand from the gift store--and never return. Until I'm sixty.

Cracker Barrell, the phony "down home" bastillion of gift shop and huge portioned comfort foods, is a safe bet for heaping helpings of grandma's vittles. Its never going to be much over 3 stars, because the theme is mediocrity. I had a dinner salad and chicken club, completely unremarkable but filling. The big miss was the service. A sweet young server named Rachel tried her best, but I had to keep asking for a water, the dinner salads arrived and moments later the entrees were pushed in front of us. I was given no salad dressing choices, and had to explain why I didn't want ranch. "Everyone likes ranch" Wrong. Not me. Look ~ its a lot better place than say, Denny's, but the home spun schlock is wearing thin on me.

Of all the cracker barrels, this one has the lowest quality food. The sides were really good, but the main dish for all 5 of us was not good. Maybe they need a new cook...

This really should be a 2 1/2 but you can't give half stars and it wasn't bad enough to give it a 2. Now, I've been to many a Cracker Barrel thanks to my families love of road trips as a child and growing up in the south where every town has one. They all look the same and have the same feeling on the inside. Which I like and most people enjoy so we will skip over that. A group of my friends wanted to go somewhere for my birthday that was a little strange and we decided that Cracker Barrel was a safe beat as far as food goes and some place we all haven't been since we were about 7. We were seated quickly by a very nice hostess at a pretty good seat. It wasn't by screaming kids and it wasn't next to where the staff likes to hang out. Our server came over and was friendly when she took our drink orders and was pretty quick about getting them to us. She took our order and all seemed pretty alright. Till we noticed that everyone around us that ordered after us got their food already. We didn't order anything that took a long time such as a well done steak. Our server kept coming to us feeling my friends soda and mine and my other friends sweet tea...however we had another friend that would request to have her water filled and our server would just walk away and not return with her water. The whole time she would tell us "You're food is coming up! I had to yell at the kitchen to get your food out!" That was not too reassuring to us because it just means they lost our food. Finally our food came out and was brought to us by another server. She looked at us and realized that things were missing. A lot of things I may add. We were missing extra gravy, 2 hash brown casserole, and still my friends water. They told us they would be no more than 5 mins on the hashbrowns because they were cooking new ones. Our first server came up to us and asked again what we were missing and we repeated it. She assured us they would be on the way very soon and to eat up. My chicken fried chicken was pretty good. The breading was seasoned well and it wasn't over cooked. My friends' chicken and dumplings were very hearty and pretty good. The dumplings were very heavy. My other friend's shrimp dish was alright. Average she said. Not too well seasoned and not too crunchy. she could have gone anywhere to get the same quality. However her greenbeans were cold as ice to the point where she couldn't eat them. We pretty much finished all of our food before the gravy and hashbrowns came out. They were good even if they were late so we didn't complain about it. Over all our food wasn't too bad. We ate all our food [aside from those green beans] and we were all very full. And much to our surprise our bill was pretty low. Only about 10 bucks for each of us. So pretty much we got what we paid for. What bumps this review up to that 1/2 star in my book was the fact that for 5 bucks I got a box of banana moonpies [very hard to find when you're not in the south] I guess if you have kids and this wouldn't be a half bad place. It's pretty cheap and you get a lot of food. And the decor will keep the little ones amused till the food gets out. if you don;t have kids this might be a place to skip over. Unless you really want chicken dumplings for pretty cheap and you don't care how long it takes.

Ambiance: Very popular chain restaurant. Emphasis on "Americana" from a bygone era. Large country store that you walk through on your way to the restaurant. Huge wood burning fireplace in dining room. Very kitschy, but it somehow works. Service: Usually pretty good. There have been a few occasions lately where the waitress has not been the most friendly, or has "messed up" our orders. Sometimes difficult to flag down your waitress for more water, coffee, creamer, etc. Waits for breakfast on weekends can extend up to an hour (so get there really early). Food: One of my favorites for a country breakfast. I love the country ham, the biscuits and gravy, and especially the hash brown casserole. Lunch and dinner options range from good to very good. (Think simple food your grandmother would prepare for a Sunday dinner.). Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Chicken Fried Steak, Pot Roast, etc, with traditional side dishes. Overall, a great and solid choice for breakfast (which is served all day long). Decent place for lunch and dinner. Great choice for families. This is a place I patronize about once every two months.

I have been to a couple Cracker Barrels- like everyone said- it's the same old same old. All the stores house the same articles- some cute stuff- some not so much- and others you wonder who wastes their money buying these items. Since the food is the same everywhere I just wanted to comment on this particular store. It is so messy and unclean looking- especially the area you eat in. Floors are a mess and tables are too close together. The few times I have been here people are just climbing over each other. It's cluttered with all they crap they sell. What can I say- the food is not good enough for me to want deal with all that nonsense.

I love going to eat here when I am in Colorado. They have a country store when you first walk in with vintage toys, candy, candles, t-shirts and little nik naks. Then you sit down to eat and they have a chess table you can play at with rocking chairs and a fireplace. I love their corn cakes, fried catfish, beef and cabbage soup and beef stew. They have chocolate cake made with coca cola. That was good too. I wish they had this restaurant out here in ca.

I missed eating at Cracker Barrel when I was in CA so it's refreshing to eat here again. Always the same no matter which one you eat in so the standard is the same across the states. I love the chicken n dumplins!

SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!! I have been craving the Chicken & Dumplings from Cracker Barrel (from past experience, they have the BEST!) However, this was the last time to walk thru those doors. We didn't have time to dine, so I called ahead to grab an order of the Chix & Dumplings "To Go". I got transfered to 2 different people only to have a lady scream this into the phone (twice)... "Will someone PLEASE take this To-Go Order that's holding, I don't have time!" Well, I got the message loud and clear so since we were passing by anyway (right off the highway), I hung up and decided to go in and order them To Go! I had to weave my way thru the store to the hostess stand and she had to page a waiter/waitress just to take the order (twice). After waiting 20+ minutes and no server arrived to take my order (as well as no further communication from the hostess), I went back to the car where my husband had been waiting (without any Chicken & Dumplings). I was very disappointed by the 'lack of'' customer service and will find another restaurant with good Chicken & Dumplings to get my "FIX". They obviously are doing so well, they don't need my business anyway! :o(

They don't have places like this in Cali. Its out of this world, southern friend goodness. Ohmylord, I like this place, and I have been there 3 times now and never waited for a table or had bad service. 5 stars, because until I moved here I thought cracker barrel was a brand of cheese.

We had trouble finding a place to eat that wasn't a chain our first morning in Colorado Springs, so we ended up here. The service was nice, they had kids meals, and the food was okay. Can't ask for much more than that from a chain restaurant.

fun place, great for families. ( one of our fave places) every meal is delicious. Not very dietetic, but very worth it once in a while....always wander the country store on your way out and pick up som old time candies or a new candle.

A great place for a family breakfast. Waits can be irritating, but the service is typically friendly and fast. Getting weird on you: I like the Uncle Hershel's with blackened catfish for breakfast!
